Dump Duterte — for Starters

Alliances are transmission belts of war.

So our Founding Fathers taught and the 20th century proved.

When Britain, allied to France, declared war on Germany in 1914, America sat out, until our own ships were being sunk in 1917.

When Britain, allied to France, declared war on Germany, Sept. 3, 1939, we stayed out until Hitler declared war on us, Dec. 11, 1941.

As the other Western powers bled and bankrupted themselves, we emerged relatively unscathed as the world’s No. 1 power. The Brits and French lost their empires, and much else, and ceased to be great powers.

  1. In 1993, as the Russian Constitutional and Economic crisis were in full swing, Ol' Billy Bob Clinton promised Russian President Yeltsin that if the USSR/Russia "moved towards a peaceful transition" instead of igniting another war as the Soviet Union went through it's death throes - that if Russia would transition peacefully, then the US and NATO would not take advantage of the situation to advance militarily into the Soviet withdrawal and "mop up" the eastern European nations as Soviet forces withdrew.

But even before Bill Clinton was out of office, the US-lead NATO had violated that promise - not just once, but TEN TIMES. Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic formally entered NATO in 1999; meanwhile discussions were under way with Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia - all of whom were full members of NATO by 2004.

Clinton Lied, and our Credibility Died.

2007 brought Albania and Croatia into the burgeoning alliance, and in 2011 Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Macedonia, and Montenegro were all added to the American military teat in Europe.

And now the push is on to adopt Ukraine, Belarus, and the Nordic States into the bloated behemoth which NATO has become...

Can there be any question as to what Russia's *legitimate* opinion of NATO and it's American leadership has become?

Now, we are poised on the brink of having the same sleazy Clinton couple in the Oval Office, again.

It's no wonder Russia is preparing to be offended -
the Clinton's are Coming to Dinner.

    God Help Us!

  2. I would remind you that NO PEACE was ever negotiated with Germany. Germany and the rest of Europe are, and have been since ~1942, occupied territories. The allies have divvied their spoils in terms of which nations have the "rights" to sell which categories of products into the EU, and have grown fat upon the carbuncle of Hitler's Reich.
But recently the US has violated the agreement between FDR and Stalin, which was that Russia would have the exclusive rights to sell energy into Europe, and in return would buy grain from the US; whereas the US had the rights to sell raw materials [such as Iron, copper, &etc.] and also technology such as computers and industrial technologies into Europe, for which concessions FDR also promised to sell grain and industrial technologies into the USSR.

The majority of the friction and danger of the 'Cold War' was due to one party or the other failing to live up to it's end of the "Occupation Agreement" concluded by the Allies at the end of WW-II.

Germany was never a party to the negotiations, and has never obtained a treaty or declaration of 'Peace' from any of the Allied Powers - there was, for Germany and Europe in general, only an "End of Hostilities". Nearly 90% of the natural gas burned in Europe to generate electricity and heat homes and businesses, comes from Russia, through the Ukraine and Belarus, by pipeline.

And NATO is trying to foment anti-Russian revolution in Ukraine, while at the same time waging a war against Assad to obtain right-of-way for their intended pipelines. They are trying to steal the energy market of Europe from Russia. And to ensure that it doesn't turn into a 'pricing war', they position NATO to have the power to terminate Russia's ability to move fuel through the pipelines, which cross Ukraine to reach Europe.

This is a massive violation of the Occupation Agreement, and an act of 'economic warfare' by any reasonable definition; and is why Vlad has elevated Russia's posture back onto a war footing regarding the US and NATO. It doesn't get any simpler or more obvious. The reason you'll never hear this from the media is because they will never acknowledge the secret agreement of the Allies concluded between FDR and Stalin, nor the farce that the East/West "cold War" scenario produced.
Rusia and the US have been in coope-tition for 70 years, but the US/NATO want out of the deal, and Vlad says "Nyet".

The US/NATO push to depose Assad and build pipelines which would make it possible to "steal" Russia's European energy concession are a real and imminent economic threat to Russia.
