"The Supreme Court's decision violates my core values as a Christian," she wrote. "My final authority is the Bible. I cannot in all good conscience issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples under my name because the Bible clearly teaches that homosexuality is contrary to God's plan and purpose for marriage and family."
This story illustrates just how well and truly F'd we are as we hunt for Liberty.
One person quit, rather than serve in an administrative role on the issue of same-sex marriage.
One. How many people in this country are employed in a capacity that will have them administer, in some capacity, same-sex marriage? Hundreds of thousands is my conservative bet. The number probably crosses a million if we factor-in all the admins who must process the paperwork, from the application stage to the cashier stage, the bailiffs, the judges, et cetera.
One person said no mas.
And before we make her a Hero, remember she remained in her position for 24 years, in a circuit court that imprisons people for weed and other sundry malum prohibitum 'crimes'....
One person (who already has reached retirement age, let's not overlook) walked away.
The system, as it exists, is simply not salvageable.
The people in the system, as they exist, are simply not compatible with Liberty.

ReplyDeleteThe hits are coming faster now. NYC wants to cut ties with Trump over something he said. It feels like we are on foreign soil now.
And a moral person will be replaced with a yes-man, or yes-woman. And once all the moral people are replaced, what will stop an immoral event?
ReplyDeleteI read yesterday that the rest of the department quit also.
DeleteBake em their damn cake, just put a 1/4lb of cayenne pepper in it, if they complain. Use a half lb next time. Don't give in. Get creative and give it to em!
