Literally a few seconds after I posted the piece below, mentioning that no LEO does a Snowden and informs the public about how .Gov is working against you, an ally and serious Patriot sent this to me.
Read it. Understand the mentality.
Your uniform is your uniform.

You DO NOT know your rights... (Nation Wide)
So check it out... I hope you all read this, and teach your kids this, and maybe even spread the word to everyone you know. I am a current sworn police officer, and for the first time in my life I am going to take to the internet and social media to spread one simple tip... Listen to what a police officer tells you to do and everyone will be fine. All too often I have a suspect tell me, "I know my rights." in the course of my daily business in dealing with people. Let's face it, you may have Googled your rights, you may have read a book or a news paper article, you may have had a friend of a friend of a friend tell you your "rights" but you do not know them. Google does not automatically turn you into an expert in law and Constitutional rights. Police officers have a hard enough job, and we do not need so called Google law experts telling us what we can or cannot do as we try and conduct our business. Here is a perfect example of what I dealt with last night as I am one of three officers responding to a domestic. The conversation went like this:
Me: "Sir, please do me a favor and sit down, take a few breaths, calm down, and I'll be right with you."
Subject: "Are you detaining me?"
Me: "No, I am not. I have to make sense of what is going on here so just sit down, calm down, and I said I'll be right with you."
Subject: "Am I under arrest? If so, for what?"
Me: "No, you are not under arrest. I'm going to ask you one more time, everyone is angry and I get it. Just sit down, take a breath, calm down, and I'll be with you in a few minutes."
Subject: "Well if I'm not under arrest I don't have to do what you say so I'm going in my house."
Me: "Now, you are under arrest for failure to comply with a peace officer's orders."
If this gentleman would have just listened to me he would not have an arrest on his record like he does now. This is the case for every police shooting that has happened in recent times. Ferguson, South Carolina, Baltimore...and most likely all the other shootings we don't hear about. Teach your kids, and your friends, and your family...you DON'T know your rights. Just listen to a police officer's very simple commands and 95% of the time you will go home with maybe a ticket at most if not a misdemeanor arrest that will probably get thrown out in court. Us police officers really don't want to go hands on with anyone let alone escalate force on someone. You, the citizen, puts us in a position to do so. Us police officers DO NOT get out of our police car and say to ourselves, "I want to shoot this person today." You, the citizen put us in a position to do so. Just listen to us and everyone and everything will be just fine. I promise you that.

There aren't a lot of smart guys in "Law Enforcement". There are fewer now than there ever have been. The officers who actually knew the law have been systematically and ruthlessly weeded out over the last decade. This shouldn't surprise you. It was a prerequisite step to what we are now witnessing.
ReplyDeleteNow, LEO does not operate on the premise of law - they operate on "Policy". This is a politically correct way of saying that they just do what they are told.
And what they are "told" comes from the hallowed halls of the Marxist elite.
It is imminently convenient for said marxists that the LEO on the street is handcuffed to their will - by his union, by his pension, and by his specialization in a trade that has no other practical use but to serve a government agency, regardless of whether such service promotes justice, or tyranny.
The average LEO on the street probably isn't a marxist. He probably values his personal liberty as much as you and I do. But he has chosen the wrong path to ensure his personal liberty, by setting himself apart from us, putting on a badge, and thereby giving himself a "preferred status" above and beyond that available to the average citizen.
His choice in the matter is as willful as that of the marxists who write the "Policies" by which he operates, and as detrimental to the condition of our society.
Since the result of his choice is indistinguishable from that of the Marxists in charge, why should the penalty be any different between them?
To paraphrase a sentiment which has repeatedly been presented here, and elsewhere, "When the cost of opressing the populace becomes high enough, many LEO will choose to find a safer and more respectable line of work."
And as I have previously stated, "Tax the government for every new officer they put on the street. Tax the police for every attrocity commited under color of 'law'. And let the tax be collected in blood, from among the very enforcers who perpetrate these abuses upon us, as well as from the overlords whose dictat they perform."
We get the government we tolerate.
We get the policing we tolerate.
And when our tolerance is finally exceeded, it will be our job to reset the standards of tolerance with every means of force available to us, because they have ignored every civil form of communication, by which we have sough redress for these ongoing abuses.
Such have they clearly demonstrated to us, time and again.
Mao said, "All political power comes from the barrel of a gun." I am compelled to recognize that as a statement of fact. And I have fully come to terms with the far-reaching implications of that fact.
Have you?
Time is short, for the fires of chaos have been kindled, by those who seek to seize ultimate control, and they purpose to achieve it undercover of the mayhem which shall ensue from these intolerable acts.
WE HAVE BEEN WARNED
Subject: "Well if I'm not under arrest I don't have to do what you say so I'm going in my house."
ReplyDeleteMe: "Now, you are under arrest for failure to comply with a peace officer's orders."
Bullshit-no such crime-there's a part about it being a lawful order in most states-here's Ohio's, note that it,like most states-has to do with traffic offenses...
No person shall fail to comply with any lawful order or direction of any police officer invested with authority to direct, control, or regulate traffic.
(B) No person shall operate a motor vehicle so as willfully to elude or flee a police officer after receiving a visible or audible signal from a police officer to bring the person's motor vehicle to a stop.
(C)
(1) Whoever violates this section is guilty of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.
(2) A violation of division (A) of this section is a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Funny,I can not find any law that says I have to go sit down and take a deep breath when the gestapo tells me to.
This idiot cop's "failure to comply with a peace officer's orders" bullshit will be dismissed-as there's no such law.
This...
"Just listen to a police officer's very simple commands " is more bullshit-unless you are under arrest-or being lawfully detained-you are free to leave the area.
This op needs to try reading not only law books-he needs to start with the DOI-then the Constitution and the BOR,then he needs to look up that bit about following a LEO's "orders".
99% of LEO's go from being somewhat civil-to total asshole in under a second when you bring up the fact that you have rights-I know this for a fact-still got a few scars to prove it.
To all the Political Enforcers / Law Enforcers who may be reading this, I will not follow your commands just because you issued them for 'Officer Safety'. You and your kind are now just Thugs and the way I treat Thugs is as if my life hangs in the balance, you are a threat. I will never call for your help and I will avoid all encounters with you. You all need to understand there are people like us who are not afraid of LEO and see you just as another enemy combatant. As Lt says, "You have been warned, We have been warned."
ReplyDeleteLt, a quick note. Last night on a national radio / internet radio broadcast, your essay "A Time to Kill" was read over the air. I will tell you, the response and comments were a resounding "I will stand" It's getting out there to those who need to read / hear it. Thank you.
Thanks for the info, Emily. What network/station & time, if you would, please?
DeleteI'm sorry, I should have posted that info. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/braveheart-radio
DeleteMike read your essay in the last half hour of the program or you can view the entire show.
Got it. Thanks.
Delete"Us [sic] police officers really don't want to go hands on with anyone let alone escalate force on someone. You, the citizen, puts us in a position to do so."
ReplyDeleteFuck this redcoat pig.
He sounds just like the wife-beater who says, "She provoked me and made me abuse her."
Like I said, brother, all the smart ones were driven out long ago. Whats left are, by and large, the utter dregs...
DeleteGotta love it---"Your mind made my choices." Quite a theory; they really are special to come up with that one.
DeleteI rarely say I hope someone dies, but in this case, I hope someone pops this self-important parasite in the brainpan next time he pulls that nonsense. And gets away clean.
ReplyDeleteJustice isn't always remote and clean. This would be one of those times...
DeleteWhere can I find your essay, LT?

DeleteYou would think an officer sworn to uphold the law would know the law to begin with. But remember now, we live in a country where not hiring someone to be an LEO because they are TOO smart is completely acceptable.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed a complete disconnect that some LEO's have from reality. I'm speaking of the total control and expected compliance mentality many have. It's almost as if they believe a title, uniform, and badge give them magical powers. It's stupid, dangerous, and overall sad, because every once in a while, someone comes along and shatters that illusion, and if they're lucky, they might get to go home and think about it.
And if they are unlucky, they get a well deserved shot in the face :)
DeleteSaw this reply posted in the same Craigslist. Pretty funny stuff. I don't know if it will work or just get you shot.
ReplyDelete"After a quarter century studying law (starting with law school) and litigating, it is my experience that this is the proper way to deal with a cop (o=officer, y=you):
o: Can I see your identification?
y: Why have you arrested me?
o: No, you aren't under arrest.
y: Did we have an appointment to meet here today?
o: No.
y: Well, as I don't have any time for any unscheduled appointments, please have your people get ahold of my people. Goodbye! (try and leave).
o: Wait! You can't leave. You're being detained.
y: Oh? What are your articulable facts which would lead you to a reasonable suspicion I was either involved in, or about to be involved in a crime, for example, as per Terry v. Ohio?
o: You failed to use your signal back there.
y: Really? And what CRIME is that? ("crime" is an inherently evil act, called mala in se, whereas code enforcement is in essence tax collection, called mala prohibita).
o: What is your name?
y: Are you conducting an investigation?
o: yes.
y: I'm going to need to talk to a court appointed attorney at every stage of your investigation for example as per Dickersen v. US June 2000 US Supreme court decision that reaffirmed Miranda. You did get the memo on that right?
o: You're kidding, right?
y: No. Want to know one of the reasons I'm going to be needing to talk to that attorney?
o: Okay.
y: Is the most likely outcome of our little encounter here the execution of some sort of a contractural instrument such as a promise to appear in court?
o: Yes.
y: And would that instrument be a negotiable instrument or a non-negotiable instrument?
o: Gee, I don't know.
y: Did you also not know that at this point if you do ANY THING which tends to intimidate or manipulate me now that I'm attempting to investigate the fundamental character of the instrument it becomes absolutely void under the theory of fraud in the execution and you are completely liable for any consequences, which if they happen to include involuntary detainment you would be PERSONALLY liable for in excess of $1000/minute for example under Trezevant v. City of Tampa and Trevino v. Gates?
I think at about that time any 1/2 way sane cop would be bidding you adieu."
That stupid fucking pig deserves the same fate as his brother-in-arms Moore.
