The Kerodin Doctrine:
Take no action that does not degrade the will or the ability of your Enemy to wage war.
Take every action that degrades the will or the ability of your Enemy to wage war.

Here's the original discussion from WRSA. Hard Things, indeed.

Make it too expensive and painful to be a Tyrant, and they will die or leave the field.
Breaking their Spirit and Will to fight is as effective as breaking their spines.
Sadly, your time for deep philosophical deliberation on the matter is, essentially, at an end.

In short form, "Hit them where it will hurt the worst."
ReplyDeleteSometimes this means denying them terrain.
Sometimes it means eliminating a certain portion of their operational capacity.
But it always means destroying their 'face',
causing them embarrassment,
and rattling the populace such that those,
erstwhile comfortably asleep,
are given cause to awaken...
The target which they presume you would never hit
is the target with the greatest value to you.
There is no such thing as "assassination" in war;
There are only "High Value Targets".
Embrace this reality, and we may yet win.
THEY have set the ground-rules for the game.
Our duty is to win it, regardless...
Non ego remissam, non tyrannidem tolerare.
His quis oderunt libertatem, condemnamus se morti!
Sam, how can we break the will or spirit of psychopaths and sycophants? By definition they are mentally defective and can not comprehend the real world. They can not be cured and we need to stop playing their games.
ReplyDeleteThey keep setting the bar and we keep jumping, enough is enough. I will not play by their rules anymore. I will not obey the laws or even the Constitution from this moment forward. After we win, we can reestablish a Constitutional America but until then it's my rules.
We can't fix the psychopaths or True Believers (redundancy, I know) - they will fall or flee.
DeleteThe Barney Fife's who are doing it primarily for the income - a goodly number will stand down in the face of Death. Many who stand down will eventually starve, because they have no skills to offer a civilized and moral people. But, that is their problem.
Hard Things. But either we do those Hard Things, or by default we endure their tyranny. I think you and I are both done enduring.
Way past done, here. There's an old Irish saying about when your nose itches... well mine has been itching every day since 2008.
DeleteLooks like I don't have much longer to wait,
'till I can scratch that itch, but good.
Nothing has changed since I wrote this, 2 years ago -
Therefore, as much as my soul laments against the harsh truth before me, I make this declaration to my enemies who press me into this battle, that none shall be able to afterwards say “I did not know, you did not warn me”;
I do not care why you took that job with the government, or why you continue to hold it. I only know that you have become Judas and sold yourself to an oppressive state – your government office buildings and vehicles are part of the battlefield, and as a soldier I shall act accordingly.
