Hi folks,
This was written by my wife (as she explains in the next few sentences) and it is offered as warmest wishes for you and yours this New Year.
~~~
Written by Holly:
This time of year, many of us naturally become
introspective. We take stock of our lives, revisit our experiences, and take
note of lessons learned.
So, I dusted off this old piece that I wrote
"literally" a million years ago! ;-)
It's okay if you think it's a little corny. It is.
(Also, I make no claims to being a poet.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As December breathes its frosty last,
Sit quietly and ask:
This past year -- what were my joys?
What were my sorrows?
What do I most regret?
And, what have I tried to forget?
What new piece of me has my experience cast?
And, am I somehow different this year than I was the
last?
Am I a better human being now than the year before?
Or is this last year's goodness, good enough for another
year more?
Did I make any difference in anyone's life?
Did I allow anyone to make a difference in mine?
Which relationships have I deepened?
Which others are bruised and beaten?
Did any of my dreams, this year come true?
And, did I remember to feel gratitude?
Did I dream any new dreams, or am I forgetting how?
And, what does the world need most from me now?

May you find Peace & Love no matter what this way comes.
And, may Prosperity & Joyful Abundance be heaped upon
you. Happy New Year!
Bullshit.
ReplyDeleteWhen do we get to kill something?
;)
Likewise to you both. And those that congregate here.
ReplyDeleteMay each and every one of us have more liberty in the coming year...Best Wishes and Blessings to You and H...
ReplyDeleteWhat Dave said.
ReplyDeleteH, check your email. Unless you stopped talking to me. :)
Zoomie, you should know by now nobody is the boss of anybody 'round here, thus nobody can tell you when you get to kill something. Or not.

Last Year sucked, and I am glad it is over. As, we enter the New, I am grateful for all the blessings I still have. I am thankful for the Brothers and Sisters the Movement has brought into my life. I have roof over my head, food in my belly, a good dog, and my tribe. Those who meet here are part of that tribe. Blessings to all for the new year, and a special thank you to K&H. You make the path a bit clearer.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Sandman. Stay safe.
DeleteHappy New Year K & H. Also to my fellow Americans who remember the true meaning of Liberty and Freedom.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice poem H. Direct and to the point and not too artsy fartsy, so that even I can understand it. ;-) Thanks.
The past year was an improvement for me and mine,compared to the past few when I had either a long series of surgeries,or the year after that when I got pneumonia,thought I just had a winter cough/cold,and ended up in the hospital for 6 weeks with an advanced lung infection that required a 9 hour surgery to get rid of-all because I was too stubborn to go to a Dr. and just kept working.
ReplyDeleteI'll be happy if I never see the inside of another hospital the rest of my life.
I've met some great people the past year,some in person,others I just discuss things with online-and it does seem that more people are finally waking up to the BS being done by our government,the big banks,and the ever growing police state.
Happy New year to all who hang out here-and to the K's.
Good work H. Lots of changes this past year and it's good to go back and try to answer those questions. You and K take care - a lot of work to do this next year.

Very nice and the picture reminds me of a visit to Mount Palomar years ago. Quite magical.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year !
a review of the past with all that was presented can be good... it can help in determining the course corrections needed for the coming times...
ReplyDeleteour best to H & K and every other Patriot

as you who gather here are part of my extended family, Grandpa wishes each of you and your families a blessed and safe new year. May we all be courageous when called upon, as we know 1) we will take up the fight, and 2) it starts with us.
ReplyDeleteMay all our enemies go to hell.
And thank you H, for sharing. It was a beautiful way to start the day...
