PatCom
I wish it were in my power to make it possible for every Patriot who reads our III blogs to get together in one spot, shake hands, break bread and talk. I have not yet found a better vehicle for building morale and cohesion than physically meeting one another.
The group here in Idaho is wonderful, and even though Holly and I were forced to spend most of our day and evening off the mountain taking care of other chores, the Patriots at the Beachhead made the most of their time together. Fortunately, H and I get to spend almost all day tomorrow and Sunday with the fine folks who made it up here, and we are looking forward to making new allies, friends, and perhaps even adding a few new folks to our ever-growing Tribe.
If you wanted to be here, please do not beat yourself up. I know many of you were simply unable to make it happen. In some cases it was money. In more cases it was the inability to get the time off work (even though the meet-up is on the weekend, driving to and from adds days to the event).
Holly and I are making it our business to get our there and meet everyone who wants to be met - we'll get there. In fact, we are looking forward to it on levels I can't express.
I'll try to post through the weekend, but if I am scarce, you know why.
Stay safe, Patriots.

ReplyDeleteI wish I could be there, you don't know how much I wish I could be there. I imagine a lot of spirited conversations, the trading of ideas and plans, helpful advice shared among like minded individuals. Now I am even more depressed I couldn't make it.
ReplyDeleteWolf, don't get too bummed out, there will be a few more opportunities to get together.
ReplyDeleteK, many thanks for an excellent weekend, I consider myself fortunate to have met you, Miss Holly, and everyone else there. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Grog,
DeleteIt was OUR good fortune to meet and spend time with you. We wish we'd had more time to talk with you Saturday, but class was dominating our attention. Wonderful to have you fireside afterwards. And, we were so glad we were able to catch you before you left.
LOVED the house & truck. Remember to email pictures.
Looking forward to the next time we can get together.

It was a very good time. I am very glad I came. Great people and good conversation. It was a very friendly and comfortable environment.
ReplyDeleteThe class was great. Sam and Holly did a great job tailoring it to the needs of individual participants. I felt like I got one on one time with anything that I needed a little more help understanding. I would recommend the class to anyone. More tools in the toolbox.
