Rhetorical Question
I could make a strong argument - at least in my own mind - that one of the primary reasons most Patriots won't leave the porch today is because they know their wives and children will die penniless, regardless of how long you live.
So, hypothetically: What's your number?
If someone put one million bucks in your wife's purse for her future, would you kit & go to work to get this party started?
$2 million?
Think about it. If someone offered you $1 million to go to Cuba and take a shot at the Beard, you might consider it. It is about the money, sometimes.
Is there a number for you? Is that what is holding you back?

As a Christian, a Patriot, a father and a husband, my responsibility to ensure the future welfare of my family comes second only to my responsibility to Christ himself. OF COURSE IT'S THE MONEY. But as you said, a "rhetorical" question.

I tend to agree.
ReplyDeleteBut then there's the possibility of incarceration, severe bodily injury, and death.
Everything can be lumped under one thing though.
Fear.
Ditto that
DeleteWhen my line is crossed and my family is protected I will fight. Nothing will stop me from joining fellow brothers in fighting for our freedoms. Money is not needed just bullets and a good long gun. Just tell me where, the plan and point me in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteI don't need a price. Freedom is priceless.

Indeed, I believe that is the problem for many of us. I have a family to take care of, and if it was a simple dollar value it'd be easy. The hard part is entrusting someone else to raise my kids.
ReplyDeleteThe interesting thing for me is that I have never been the one concerned about the money, nor has my wife. I have friends and family trying to discourage me from saying anything thry view as "controversial" because of what the .govs will do in retaliation.
ReplyDeleteThe very hipocrisy of the statement has still not made sense to them.
Money is not the issue for me. Hell, I'm poor as a pauper right now anyways.
ReplyDeleteWhen I know that I'm not going to fight the battle alone with all the rest of the Patriots standing on the porch saying "Man, did you hear about Wirecutter?" without lifting a damned finger themselves, then I'll do what I gotta do.
Or until somebody really pisses me the fuck off.....
It isn't money. Kids are grown and gone. Body is pretty trashed, won't see 80.
ReplyDeleteFear? Yeah I suppose. But I'd rather go doing RIGHT-alone if I must.
BUT I'D RATHER IT MEAN SOMETHING, instead of throwing myself in a ditch....

Never do it alone unless you're boxed in with no other choice.
DeleteA while back there was discussion of the "older guys" sacrificing themselves.
Screw that.
That's suicide. That's wrong.
I'm willing to pull my weight and sacrifice right along with everybody else. But I'm not doing the dirty work alone. Just won't.
And you shouldn't either.
Yea that pretty much somes it up. My wife, and my widowed mother would not be ok without me. If it became time when they wouldnt be ok if i DIDNT do something then im off the porch. Thats only in regards to acting alone though. If something was already going down or I knew for a fact that a group had my back, then im in now.
