Republicans to Tea Party: Sit down, shut up, and nobody gets hurt
Many Republicans here said that tea-party activists now understand that things will run more smoothly if those with experience are in charge rather than those who put a premium on ideology over process.
“The important thing for any group in the party to understand…is that you need experience to govern,” said New Hampshire Republican Chairman Wayne MacDonald. “Everybody has to start somewhere. It’s just important they learn the mechanics of how the party operates…It doesn’t mean new ideas aren’t welcome.”
Patriots, I hope you understand how entrenched the Enemies of Liberty have become.
The energy of the Tea Party was diffused by experts, and the message hijacked. Now, real Tea Party Americans are at home, deflated, dejected, and inactive while the Republican Party has a hand up the Tea Party Puppet Butt and spouts Establishment rhetoric in the Tea Party name.
There is no sea of Liberty today.
You could fit Americans who want genuine Liberty into a single stadium today. Maybe a Convention Hall. Maybe even into a hotel ballroom.
Genuine Liberty is dangerous, messy, unorganized and by its very nature, demands uncertainy over predictability. Most humans don't like uncertainty.
If you want genuine Liberty, you have an overwhelming majority of Americans standing against you.
And Mobs usually get their way.
Here's the full story.

Out of 15 people that RSVPed the NorCal PatCon through my blog, THREE of us showed up. Three.
ReplyDeleteTalk sure is cheap, isn't it?
How many showed in total?
DeleteK
About a dozen, all but 3 of us were local.
DeleteI'm working on a post. Don't get me wrong, it was a grand success, but I am a little disappointed at the turnout.
Wirecutter - better a no-show than leaving you to hang later on...
