WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Obama administration is weighing options for sharp new cuts to the U.S. nuclear force, including a reduction of up to 80 percent in the number of deployed weapons, The Associated Press has learned.

All areas of government need to shrink. I think our nuclear arsenal is one of our most important assets, but with adequate variety and redundancy I think this is a reasonable way to save money. I think nuclear weapons are a good value compared to other rat holes the military pours money into. I think with 400 nukes we could defend ourselves against any threat to this country without getting bogged down in places like southeast Asia and the middle east for decades. I just wish we could reduce the entire government by 80%
ReplyDeleteAre 300 nukes even enough to keep our nuclear subs fully armed? Each sub carries multiple missiles, each with multiple warheads. We need subs fully armed in multiple locations throughout the world. We also need land based weapons as well as smaller strategic weapons deployed.
ReplyDelete300? Really?
I can almost hear the commies clapping. Obama is the best president our enemies ever had, end of story.
